From skeptic to superfan
The location was fabulous, surrounded by vibrant cafes and shops. The beds were comfy after long days of sightseeing! Staff were lovely.
Be prepared for excessive noise levels and steep stairs, which can be quite challenging when managing your luggage.

I had fairly priced room on the lower floors. I could use a safe, television and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel had a marvellous location close to the district. Friendly service, though a few employees were not particularly friendly.

The location is super close to everything, just a short walk from dam square. The staff were really friendly and helped us out with our bags. Our room was clean and comfy, perfect for catching some zzzs after a long day of exploring. There's a good breakfast next door with plenty of options. A pretty chill spot for the price!
But those stairs are steep and can be a killer with heavy luggage. It got kinda noisy at night.

The hotel was luxurious and fairly clean, it met the criteria. We had a sensational breakfast and functional, tastefully decorated room. The location was incredible, close to Beurs van Berlage.
The area was very busy.

Definitely the location, right next to Dam Square. Maybe it's the best thing about the accommodations. The staff do what they can to make it more comfortable, but with what they have you can't do more. The breakfast was well attended by a lady who was very dedicated and pleasant. It's varied. It's done in a bar that's right next door to the establishment and they use it for breakfast in the morning. We were always a few people so it made breakfast a good time: relaxed, quiet, silent and fast at the same time. The staff well. The access control to the hotel is good with 24 hour reception. It's in a very busy area.
You can't ask for more. Centre of Amsterdam is very old and buildings are of a period: no lifts, narrow and steep stairs, narrow spaces, buildings that are centuries old. So if you want to stay in the centre, you pass through one of these places or you have to stay in a much higher class hotel. We were on the top floor (two rooms). Two of the group had to stop halfway up to get some air. small room, clean and with everything, very small with a very narrow bathroom. There is no air conditioning either (in case it is a problem for someone). noise of the street, being so central, can be a problem. In short, if you prefer to be very central with access to everything in Amsterdam and at a good price has to be at the cost of sacrificing comfort.

Howay, what a canny stay! The location was spot on, with bars and restaurants just a step away. Staff were friendly, but the noise from the street was a bit much at times. No elevator made it tricky with heavy bags. Still, I'd come back for sure!

Public transport made getting to places like the Ajax stadium easy. The staff were friendly and our kids enjoyed the comfortable beds after a long day.
My kids wished for a quieter environment.

Center location and in walking distance of everywhere important to visit in amsetrdam. The staff was very helpful at all times.
The mattress protector was dirty. I didnt like the fact they painted the bathroom door while we were staying there and I am allergic to the smell of paint but the polite staff changed us rooms immediately.

The triple room was brand-new, beautifully decorated, with a clean bathroom. It had comfortable bed and the staff were genuinely helpful and outstandingly helpful people on the phone to the manager.
